Staff Living Stones Church Of God worship Center

Pastor Milton Abbott began serving as interim pastor of the Oxford Church of God during
the summer of 1994. During the fall of 1994 he was asked to take the position of pastor.
Pastor Abbott agreed to take the position and was officially appointed pastor on Janurary
1, 1995. At that time, Pastor Abbott was employed by Roses Stores where he had worked
for the past 25 years. In November 1995, he began working as full time pastor.

Pastor Milton Abbott brings a passion for Christ, having known in his own life what is
means to be redeemed and blessed by the grace of Jesus. Some of his earliest childhood
memories are of God's support during the difficult circumstances following the death of his
father. Through the counsel and example of his godly mother, he learned to trust and obey
God's word. He brings a great love of preaching with a desire to connect the people of God
to God's word and the world that God created. He sees in Living Stones Worship Center an
opportunity for the church to be a blessing to many. He is known for his service to God and
to the church where he shares his message of hope, inspiration and God's love. Pastor
Abbott is committed to helping people from all walks of life experience the unconditional
love and unending hope that is found only in a personal relationship with our Lord, Jesus
Christ. He believes and teaches that regardless of a person's background or past mistakes,
God has a place for them and can help them on their path to enjoying life. He loves being a
husband, father and especially a grandfather ! In his very limited spare time he enjoys
attending antique car shows and hiking in the mountains.

Pastor Abbott was born September 3, 1952 in Vance County, North Carolina to Rosa
Abbott and the late Roy Abbott. He is married to the former Jackie Stegall and they have
two sons and three grandchildren. All of his immediate family; including his mother are
active members of the church. Pastor Abbott has several brothers, sisters and nephews
and other relatives in Henderson and the surrounding area.
